Hello Tech Pod! And happy beginning of Fall! 🍂
Although we’re excited to wear our favorite hoodies again—we know Fall is a stressful time for students balancing school and recruiting for internships. 😰
But take a deep breath, because we are breaking down the tech recruitment time-line so you know exactly what’s going on, what to expect, and when to make your moves. 🚀
Plus: how to identify + relieve recruiting anxiety, 12+ of the best tech positions open now, and an exclusive invite to the best program for strategy and operations!
The Tech Industry’s Recruiting Time-Line 👨💻
In Early Fall: research roles, set your goals, update your resume, start collecting a list of internships, pinpoint people in your network that can give you referrals, and start applying.
➡️ Focus on big tech first: They have a stricter hiring season, open their applications as early as August, and are the most competitive. Spend your energy here first. Most of these will be filled between September-December.
⭐️ : It’s easy to neglect applying when you’re busy with your classes. But make your internship search a priority and create a plan to keep you on track.
In the Winter and Spring: Now is the time to apply to smaller companies and startups. Tech startups don’t recruit until at least February. And you will still find lots of great opportunities available at this time. And you’ll be thankful to still find a few openings at bigger companies as well.
⭐️ : The key here is to stay on track with the plan you made in the Fall. At this point you may have received a few rejection letters—but don’t give up!
In the Summer: It is never too late. Many companies hire on a need based system, you might be able to still slide into something after the semester ends! Buuut, be sure to be applying before then too.

Medicine for Recruiting Anxiety 🧘♂️
It is so easy to procrastinate applying to internships.
But before you get upset at yourself, consider this:
We don’t procrastinate because we are lazy. We procrastinate because we are afraid.
Along with the fear of failure, we feel anxiety when we do something that make us uncomfortable.
The solution? It is not criticizing yourself and forcing yourself to “just do it.” For longterm results, it is self-compassion. It’s acknowledging your emotions and forgiving yourself for them so to move forward.
If you’re finding yourself procrastinating applying to internships—take a moment to shine light on the thoughts and feelings that are blocking you from action.
Why am I avoiding doing this? What about it gives me anxiety? What would I be doing if I didn’t experience this fear? etc. 🌤
Look, we found openings for you! 🚀
